Major Cyclone - Solidly Built for the Toughest Conditions
The award-winning Major Cyclone HD-Shredder Sickle Mower series has been designed to perform the work of a flail mower, but with only a fraction of the energy and fuel consumption required by a flail mower.
These machines are robustly constructed and specifically designed for use in pastures, set-aside areas, forestry maintenance, and conservation work in sensitive nature reserves. The Cyclone HD-Shredder Sickle Mower excels in handling the toughest conditions, tackling the processing of shrubs, hedges, saplings, gorse, and extensive areas.
Stubble Management: The Cyclone can be superbly utilized in corn stubble and cereal stubble with optional blade systems. Using our special corn blades, the stubble is shattered and fibrous just above the ground. The corn borer has no chance, and the decomposition of the material is accelerated. Elevated mycotoxin levels are thus a thing of the past. This type of machine is ideal for stubble management in corn and rapeseed, as well as cover crops and general field hygiene of such crops.
In the manufacturing of these machines, high-strength Strenx is employed. Strenx™ 700 MC high-strength steel is used. This material is stronger than steel traditionally used in machine construction. The disc plates are made of Hardox® 450, a wear- and abrasion-resistant steel. Optionally, there is a lateral shift available, allowing the operator to adjust the mower 30cm to the left and right.
Key Features:
- Available as a front or rear device (Specify when ordering!)
- Special blades for stubble management available as an option
- Hardened blade disc with internal bearings for protection against damage
- Shock-absorbing spring-steel-hardened blades for reduced vibration
- Low maintenance and fewer wear parts than a flail mower
- Particularly stable and large-dimensioned support roller
